Last Updated: October 12, 2026
At Taggit, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("Taggit").
1. Information We Collect
To provide our services and manage your account functionality, we collect the following data points:
- Account Information: Your email address and a unique User ID are collected when you create an account to manage your secure login, app preferences, and subscription tier credits.
- User Content: When you upload photos or images to Taggit, these files are processed to generate hashtags.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for App Functionality. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track your behavior across third-party websites and apps.
- Email addresses and User IDs are used to authenticate your login sessions and track your monthly generation limits.
- Photos are processed to analyze visual elements and generate appropriate hashtags.
3. Third-Party Data Processing (AI Services)
Taggit utilizes secure third-party artificial intelligence services (such as the OpenAI API) to process images and generate tags.
- Images uploaded to Taggit are transmitted securely to our AI providers solely for real-time processing.
- In accordance with our API agreements, your data is processed with zero-retention policies for model training—meaning your images are not used to train external AI models and are automatically deleted within 30 days.
4. Data Security & Retention
We securely store your account credentials on our databases. We do not keep or store your uploaded images on our personal servers permanently; they are discarded immediately after your hashtags are generated.
